Cherwell Local Development Framework: Bicester and Central Oxfordshire Site Allocations Development Plan Document Issues and Options Paper http://www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk/planning/siteallocationssouth.cfm As you may be aware, the Council is currently preparing its Local Development Framework (LDF) which will guide future development in the District to 2026 including housing, employment development, recreation and open space, development in urban and rural centres and mixed uses. The LDF also seeks to address development needs in Cherwell relating to services such as health, education and transport. The original intention was to produce three separate Development Plan Documents (DPD’s) covering:-
Taking into account advice from the Government Office of the South East on the Council’s draft Local Development Scheme (the timetable and project plan for the LDF), the Council has decided to combine these three separate DPD’s into a single DPD, to enable a more simplified and understood process. Consultation is now required on this Bicester and Central Oxfordshire Issues and Options Paper in order to catch up with the work already undertaken for the Banbury and North Cherwell area. Following this consultation, the two areas will then be brought together with development control policies to form a new Delivery DPD. This Issues and Options Paper is open for public consultation, (together with an Initial Sustainability Appraisal Report) from 4th June 2007 to 16th July 2007. Copies of both of these documents will be available to view at the following locations from 4th June 2007: Copies are also available to download on the Council’s website http://www.cherwell-dc.gov.uk/planning/siteallocationssouth.cfm. A hard copy of the Issues and Options Paper has also been sent to every Parish Council within Cherwell district for public viewing. |
