Reduce power cuts:

The electricity supply network has enough capacity for Cropredy's future needs.

Reliability of supply has improved, but overhead lines are vulnerable to damage by birds, lightning etc.

An auto-reclose system restores supply within three seconds, if possible. If unsuccessful after five attempts, the supply is isolated for inspection.

The auto-reclose can adversely affect computers and other electrical/ electronic equipment.

Anyone heavily dependent on their computer should consider fitting and uninterruptible power supply (UPS).

Anyone with priority needs (disability/ medical reliance on electricity) can register with E.ON and will receive priority telephone response and support. Explanatory leaflets and registration forms are available from Cropredy Surgery or Geoff Parratt (750427).
