This very popular and talented Band won “Best Duo” and “Best Original Song” at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in February this year. This Gig is an extra one, suggested by the Band, to help raise money for B E K I N D. They will be here again in November, playing in St. Mary's Church, promoted by The Harlequins.

"Around the World in 80 Tunes"

Famed for their collaborations with folk diva Maddy Prior and sell out concerts world wide, the Carnival Band's spontaneous and exuberant performances turn musical convention on its head from the Renaissance to Rock 'n Roll. With two leading talents from the early music scene, an ex-LSO violinist turned drummer, a rock guitarist and a dynamic bassist this is an opportunity not to be missed. Witty and unpredictable, they'll bring out the reveller in you.

CROPREDY HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
 
 

A garden visit has been arranged to Pettifers in Lower Wardington at 2.00 pm, leaving Cropredy at 1.45 pm. This is a garden renowned for its late summer and autumn colour. are proud to present Banbury Strings. The programme to include pieces by Bach – E major Violin Concerto (1st movement). Grieg – Elegiac Melodies. Bottesini – B minor Double Bass Concerto. Vasks- Cantabile. Warlock – Capriol Suite with Double Bass and Violin soloists.Tickets on the door at £6.00, to include refreshments. (Proceeds from this event are for Church Funds).

The famous Cropredy Racing Snails will be appearing in a West End Spectacular in the Village Hall on Saturday 9 th October at 7.30 p.m. Tickets: £8.00 (to include Fish & Chip Supper).
