Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Wardington Parish, Williamscot to Cropredy Road

Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 30 January 2012

Coming into force: 6 February 2012

 

This Order is being introduced because of structural carriageway patching works between the A361 and Cropredy canal bridge, which are anticipated to take until 22 February 2012 to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of road between the A361 at Williamscot and the junction with Station Road , Cropredy (to include The Plantation). Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via Station Road , Cropredy, through Great Bourton, the A423 southwards, the A422 eastwards, the A361 northwards and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
