Cropredy Parish Council
What we do.
The parish council meet on the second Monday of the month at 7 pm in the Methodist Chapel
Elected by the people of Cropredy.
We are here to represent Cropredy parishioners. The Parish Council is the lowest tier local authority, below Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council.
The Parish Council has direct responsibility for maintenance of the churchyard, the children’s playing field, the cemetery, the allotments, and other PC owned land.
We maintain a Village Emergency Plan to respond to events such as flooding, extreme weather, and major accidents.
We work with Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council on Transport, Traffic and Street Lighting.
Planning – We act as a consultee on all planning applications within the parish. (It is, however, Cherwell District Council that makes the decisions.)
We comment on Cherwell’s Local Plan that sets a long-term vision including responding to development needs for housing and employment, and shaping urban and rural areas
